💬 Who It’s For
This workshop is perfect for you if:
- You’ve always wanted to sing, but feel nervous or unsure where to start
- You’re looking for a creative way to manage stress or anxiety
- You love music but don’t want a high-pressure performance setting
- You want to reconnect with joy and self-expression through voice
- You already have a mindfulness practice but are always looking for new tools for your toolkit
- You’ve tried meditating, but think sitting alone in a room with your thoughts is the most boring thing ever
❓ Why Sing to Soothe?
Studies show that even short sessions of breathwork and singing:
- Reduce Cortisol (Stress Hormone), leading to lowered stress levels, improved mood, and increased feelings of social connection.
- Boost Endorphins and Oxytocin, contributing to feelings of pleasure and emotional closeness. Singing in groups can create strong social bonds—even more so than talking.
- Activate the Vagus Nerve, which helps regulate heart rate and calm the nervous system.
- Encourage Mindfulness and Flow by acting as a mindfulness practice, drawing attention to the breath, sensations, and the present moment.
